Hello. First, thank you for all you are doing. Your website and videos are wonderful. Second, I searched for a class in my area. I found a marker on your google map on Cliff Street in Port Townsend, 98368, but there is no address or contact information for that location. Could someone please email that information to me. Thank you.

I would love to teach this class and learn more but there doesn't seem to be a training in my area of Rochester, NY. What would be the best area to get to from where I live and how do I go about registering. Is it necessary to register far in advance, for example, I would love to train in California on April 30th and wonder if that is enough time to study packet.

I was moved to action immediately after reading Sherry's story in the Authentic Woman Magazine. I want to use Healthy-Steps to regain my strength and health, and improve my outlook. I have been involved in some form of abuse almost my entire life. This past year I took a stand beyond my comfort zone. I have altered my life and future forever. However, I am very weak and ill. I love to dance, can't do what I use to do and this article touched my heart and gave me hope for something that might work for me, my body and my spirit. I am very interested in not only participating in a class, but becoming an instructor. I was thrilled to see that Sherry will be teaching in Chicago in March - I will be there. However, what can I do in the meantime? How can I start this now for my healing? There are no classes in the Chicago area (I live about an hour west of Chicago).

Is there anyone here who can point me into the right direction as to which videos are best for me. I'm sedentary due to arthiritis cuz it hurts too much to move, so is there a lebed dvd you would recommend for a person with lymphatic and arthiritic problems and is predominately limited to a chair? The closest class is over 500miles from me so I need something I can do at home. Thanks!!!

Fortunately, I found your web page yesterday for tos as I am in a relapse situation at the moment. Over 40 years ago, after a car accident, I had surgery to remove the first rib on both sides of my body. In the last 10 years I seem to be having TOS symptoms every 2 years or so. At the moment, that's where I am and for the first time it is affected the muscle around my left eye causing me vision problems. I have started on your TOS exercises starting yesterday. Any other suggestions? Have you heard of TOS vision problems before? Thank you.

I wish to register for the training OCT 22 - 35 in Illinois. When I went to register I did not see the secure symbol that is usually shown when a credit card is asked for. Is there another way to register? Thanks, Patricia Campbell, Maine

Hi I am a Social Worker in the Cleveland Ohio area for people with cancer. I did not see a class in our area. Does anyone know an instructor in that area that is teaching but maybe isn't connected with this site?

Hi Allina To answer your question you do not need a medical background to become a Healthy-steps instructor at all. Please visit our website at the Instructor training and when you click that you will see an informational packet. Download that and read all about it. It is very exciting and a great opportunity.Or contact us at our toll free number 877.365. 6014 or click below at contact us and someone will talk to you about the details.

I could not find any classes around my area. We have a very large senior population, specially during winter. I have a medical background and have worked as a wellness educator for a while. I would love to implement something like your program. Please, let me know what are the requirements to do so. Thanks!

If you are working on computers all day lift your arms chest high and palms facing out, bring in one finger at a time to a fist and rotate your hands into your face. Reverse this move opening your fingers one at a time, palms face outward again. Do this every couple of hours so your Lymph fluid can move!!

We have all read by now the wonderful new study on Weight Lifting and Lymphedema and if not, look at my blog ‘bug bites and Lymphedema” However still be careful. I have Lymphedema in my left arm and hand and tried weight lifting with an exercise specialist who is a Lymphedema expert. (which is what you should do if you decide to weight lift) We started with small amounts of weights at low reps, which was good. As we increased the weights and reps my arm was not happy about that and began to swell. We eventually had to back off and go to the lower weights and less reps. So just know that everyone is different and to make sure you are with someone who knows what they are doing.

My arms are getting huge. I exercise, but am overweight. I have lost a considerable amount of weigh, but my arms continue to be huge. Is there any massage that can help with reduction?

Sherry says: "What you need to do is to find a lymphedema therapist for a special lymphatic massage. To do this, go to our resource section of our website and look under the national lymphedema network or vodder and they will take you to find the therapist in your area."
